Who is a good candidate for EMDR Intensives (and who isn't)?

Good Candidates:

- Individuals with a history of trauma or PTSD.
- Those who have tried traditional therapy but need a more focused and accelerated approach.
- People with busy schedules who can benefit from concentrated therapy sessions.
- Clients looking to address specific issues in a shorter period.

Not Ideal Candidates:

- Individuals with severe dissociative disorders without prior stabilization.
- Those currently experiencing acute mental health crises or severe instability.
- Clients who require ongoing, long-term therapy rather than intensive sessions.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of EMDR Intensives? Advantages:

- Accelerated Progress: Significant therapeutic progress in a short time.
- Focused Attention: One-on-one attention from the therapist without the usual weekly gaps.
- Flexibility: Suitable for those with tight schedules who need rapid results.
- In-depth Work: Opportunity to delve deeply into issues without time constraints.

Disadvantages:

- Intensity: The deep and prolonged sessions can be emotionally taxing.
- Cost: Higher upfront cost compared to weekly sessions.
- Not Suitable for All: Not ideal for clients who need gradual, ongoing support.

How much does it cost and how do I schedule one? Is there a sliding fee scale for Intensives? Costs:

Half-Day Intensive: $650 (3-hour session with breaks)

Full-Day Intensive: $1300 (6-hour session with breaks and lunch)

Where does the EMDR Therapy Intensive happen?

EMDR Therapy Intensives are conducted at:

Will my insurance cover any of the cost?

Insurance Coverage: EMDR Intensives are typically considered an out-of-pocket expense, as most insurance plans do not cover intensive therapy formats. However, you can contact your insurance provider to discuss possible reimbursements for out-of-network services.

Payment Options: We accept various payment methods and can provide receipts for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

What if I need to cancel?

If something comes up and you are unable to attend your intensive, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling.

Rescheduling will not affect your deposit or payment.

If you need to cancel your intensive entirely, you will lose your deposit.

Is Telehealth an option?

Telehealth is also an option for clients who live in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida.
